Tuesday Farm Days are parent-stay homeschool farm days. This is not a drop-off program. A parent/guardian must remain on-site and is responsible for supervising their child/children at all times. Families should bring packed lunch/snack, water bottles, closed-toe shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and a towel/change of clothes on water activity days. Please label belongings. The Farmstead is a working farmstead. Families may be near animals, fences, uneven ground, mud, insects, feed, garden materials, tools, water activities, and outdoor weather conditions. Participation includes ordinary farm and outdoor risks. Families must follow all animal safety rules: no chasing, grabbing, feeding without permission, climbing fences, entering animal areas without staff permission, or putting fingers near animal mouths/fencing. Unsafe behavior may result in removal from animal areas or being asked to leave. Activities may include animal time, gardening, baking, preserving/freeze-drying demos, music, crafts, nature play, water play, and homestead activities. No swimming is provided. Activities may change due to heat, rain, storms, poor air quality, animal safety, or other concerns. Parents/guardians are responsible for monitoring their child’s food choices. Food activities or samples may include common allergens such as wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, or other ingredients. Please list allergies or medical concerns during registration. Parents/guardians are responsible for carrying and administering any needed medications, including inhalers, EpiPens, or allergy medicine. Handwashing is required after animal contact, bathroom use, messy activities, and before eating. Please do not attend if anyone in your family has fever, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious illness, or symptoms that may affect others. The Farmstead is not responsible for lost, broken, or damaged personal items. In an emergency, The Farmstead staff may call 911. Parent/guardian remains the primary responsible person for their child’s care. Payments are non-refundable unless The Farmstead cancels. If weather or safety requires cancellation, families may receive a credit for a future Tuesday Farm Day when possible.
